About Me
My story starts in the small town Union, WV, population 459. During my time at James Monroe High School, I was involved in Model United Nations (MUN), National Honor Society (NHS), soccer and robotics. In each of these clubs, I strived to go above and beyond. Our MUN team was the only team from West Virginia to attend the annual Georgia Tech MUN conference. In early 2020, I was apart of the first MUN debate team from West Virginia to attend the Harvard World MUN conference.
In 2016, my friends and I started the first 4-H robotics team in the county. We self taught everything we did, from learning how to use CAD to programming the robot using Java. For four years our hard work took us to places such as Scranton, Huntsville, St. Louis, and Detroit. Our success allowed us to attend the World Championship three times (our last time was not attended due to the ongoing pandemic in 2020). Learn more about M-Cubed robotics here.
I graduated from James Monroe High School in 2020 along with 120 classmates (spaced six feet apart from one another). I then went on to start my collegiate career at West Virginia University in fall of 2020.
I have made the most out of my time at WVU so far. I am involved on campus with the Student Government Association as Chief Information Officer and elected as a College Senator for the Statler College of Engineering. I have also worked for the Math Department for three years as an online tutor and a grader. In 2022, I joined the WVU Ski Racing team and have raced all over Pennsylvania. I was also induced as a member of the IEEE EKN professional Computer and Electrical Engineering Society.
I was able to get an internship with ManTech International working on the FBI's Crime Data Explorer. I was an employee there for a little over a year. My time there was excellent, great experience and fun coworkers. After my time at Mantech and after four tough interviews, I was hired by Apple to be a Physical Design Intern for the summer of 2023. I was given the opportunity to move across the country to Cupertino, CA. I am super excited to work for my dream company and see what CA has to offer!
So far, the first three years of my time at WVU have been great. I'm still able to root for the Mountaineers on a game day. I'm excited for what these next year (or more with graduate school) and beyond will bring.
